Gratitude Tip 1: God’s Truth

Study the Bible to see what God's Word says about GratitudeI believe the Bible is the infallable truth.  Read the scripture verses below (NIV versions) and see what your study bible has to say about them.  Pray for God’s wisdom and insight about how these verses apply to you.  Look up key words in the dictionary for additional clarity and insight.  Take a few minutes afterward to jot down any revelations that surface.

  • 2 Corinthians 3:18.   And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
  • Ephesians 4:22-24.   You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;  to be made new in the attitude of your minds;  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
  • Philippians 2:5.   In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
  • Ecclesiastes 5:19-20,   Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.  They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.
  • Psalm 40:5.   Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
  • Philippians 4:8.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
  • Proverbs 15:15.   All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
  • Colossians 4:2.  Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.  Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
