Thank God for Scorpions

Treat ailments with medical attention and gratitudeI had been invited to share my musical talents and testimony at a women’s retreat.  That morning, I swung my purse over my shoulder to head down for breakfast, and that’s when I felt it!  It crawled through my hair and across my back…

Thank God I am not terribly allergic to scorpions!

Thank God that little guy only stung me twice!

Thank God my friend Jami was there; she’s a nurse and knew I needed Benadryl.

Thank God she had some.

Thank God the Benadryl was sufficient; it quickly reversed the swelling in my tongue and back of my throat.

Thank God my husband was available to take my frantic phone call; he had the words I needed to hear to calm down and get a grip.

Thank God I didn’t need to go to the hospital or cancel my commitment that day.

Thank God we were at a women’s retreat; news travels fast among women and they prayed earnestly for me.

Thank God I felt well enough to perform my songs that afternoon, and share my testimony that evening by the campfire.

Thank God, I was able to complete the task the Lord Jesus had given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s Grace!
